The works published at PCL-PRESS will be assigned to different PCL-PRESS series. Series that have already been set up:

  • Pluricentric languages of the world
    This is the general series of PCL-PRESS that will be grouped according to different pluricentric languages and varieties. Works published in this series will be labelled as follows: PCL-PRESS: Series: Pluricentric languages of the world: Name of the pluricentric language: Name of the national variety. E.g. Pluricentric languages of the world:  English: Australian English
  • Sociolinguistics – Variational linguistics
    This is the general series of PCL-PRESS that will deal with publications on language and society and all types of variation in languages that does no fall into the field of pluricentricity. Works published in this series will be labelled as such: PCL-PRESS: Series: Language and Society – Variation in Languages: Sub field.
  • Pedagogical and applied linguistics
    This series will deal with the publication of teaching materials and research on teaching and learning languages. The focus will be on materials and research that deal with the teaching of pluricentric languages, in particular on the promotion and maintenance of non-dominant varieties and endangered languages / endangered non-dominant varieties.
  • Multilingualism
    This series will be edited in cooperation with the UNESCO Chair on Multilingualism situated at the University of Santa Catarina in Florianopolis, Brazil. It is open to works on aspects of multilingualism and multilingual societies.
